Occupational Therapy for Breast Health, Lymphedema & Therapeutic Movement

Movement Resolutions LLC is an occupational therapy clinic specializing in breast health rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and breast cancer treatment recovery. Services are provided by a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) with advanced training in post-surgical and post-oncologic care of the breast, chest wall, and upper extremity.

We support individuals at every stage of care—from diagnosis through survivorship—by addressing both the physical and functional impacts of breast cancer related conditions. Our approach blends evidence-based occupational therapy with creative movement–based interventions to promote healing, mobility, and reconnection with the body.

Conditions We Treat

We provide specialized care for:

  • Breast, chest wall, and upper extremity lymphedema

  • Post-mastectomy and lumpectomy rehabilitation

  • Radiation-related fibrosis and tissue restriction

  • Axillary web syndrome (cording)

  • Breast and truncal swelling

  • Scar adhesions and sensory changes

  • Pain, heaviness, and limitations in daily activities

Our Therapeutic Approach

Treatment is individualized and goal-driven, with a focus on restoring function and improving quality of life. Interventions may include:

  • Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)

  • Manual lymphatic drainage

  • Compression education and garment coordination

  • Therapeutic exercise and breast cancer treatment rehabilitation

  • Scar and soft tissue management

  • Education for long-term self-management

In addition to traditional occupational therapy techniques, we integrate creative movement and gentle dance-based therapy as a clinical modality when appropriate.

Creative Movement & Dance-Based Therapy

Creative movement uses intentional, adaptable movement to support physical recovery, body awareness, and emotional well-being. Within occupational therapy, this modality can help individuals safely explore movement following surgery, radiation, or trauma.

Creative movement may be used to:

  • Restore comfortable, functional range of motion

  • Support lymphatic flow and postural alignment

  • Reduce guarding and fear of movement

  • Improve coordination, balance, and breath awareness

  • Foster confidence and reconnection with the body

No dance experience is required. All movement is guided, medically informed, and adapted to each individual’s abilities and precautions.

Our Philosophy

We believe effective rehabilitation honors both the body and the person living in it. Care is:

  • Evidence-based and function-focused

  • Trauma-informed and body-respectful

  • Individualized and collaborative

  • Supportive of long-term self-efficacy

Our goal is to help you move with greater comfort, confidence, and ease—both in daily activities and in your relationship with your body.
